Of our trip, Turkey was the highlight for everyone.  The trip on the Piccolo was marvelous...It was far more than I expected.  We had never taken that kind of cruise before… The crew was what made the trip amazing...The Capt. was a lot of fun; but the food was out of this world!  I did not expect 5 star cuisine...I want to have someone just like Bekir to cook for us daily!!!  They were extremely patient; and went out of their way to make the journey memorable…
We definitely would like to do another cruise on the Piccolo with the same Capt and crew.

Just a word of thanks to let you know we had a delightful time on the Primadonna. Everything was perfect: the gulet was very comfortable and clean, the crew very friendly and always eager to please us, the food was delicious. We also sailed quite a bit. All in all a perfect vacation. Thank you also for all your help and responsiveness to all my questions.

We had a wonderful time on our cruise on the Dalmatian coast. Our boat MS Atlantica was excellent, we appreciated the huge lounge at the back. The beds, though small, were comfortable and the water in the showers was nice and hot.  The food was the best we had on our whole eight week trip.  There was a lot of variety and plenty of fresh fish, fruit and vegetables.  The crew were marvelous.  Our captain, Dominique, considered the comfort of his passengers, and adjusted the route plan to suit us.  Our deck hand, Drago, was good fun and also did a good job, and “Cookie” Ivan, provided fantastic meals.  We met people from other boats who were envious of us because of the lay-out and size of our boat.

Itinerary

Embark on board your gulet in Bodrum in the afternoon. After your welcome meeting, safety briefing and crew introduction, refreshments will be served. We will set course for Aquarium Bay to have our evening meal and enjoy a quiet night. (D on board)

Day 2
Kos and Pserimos
After breakfast, there is a brief cruise to the main harbor in Kos. We can wander around the town. Make a visit to the Crusader Castle before lunch. This will be served on board before departing for a short cruise to the understated island of Pserimos, arriving in the late afternoon.

Pserimos island has less than 200 permanent inhabitants and is reminiscent of what Greek Islands were a few decades ago. A wander around this tiny town with its sand streets, single chapel and school is well worthwhile. The evening meal is on the beach at the Sunset Restaurant. (B/L on board)

Day 3
Kalymnos & Telendos
After breakfast it’s off to the tiny islet of Telendos on the northwest side of Kalymnos. One hundred people, a lot of goats and twenty or so tavernas are the basis of this tiny island.
Meet the fascinating one-eyed, retired sponge diver Zorba who is only too willing to entertain by playing the Greek version of bagpipes comprised of an inflated goat stomach.
.
Lunch at Zorba’s is an array of different house Greek specials, including a local dried brown bread with tahini sauce, accompanied by small buckets of a very palatable house wine.

In the afternoon we’ll cruise a short way to the port of Laki on Leros, known for its Italian inspired art deco architecture and Mussolini’s villa which can be visited..
(B/D on board)

Day 4
Arkhanengelos & Pandeli
After breakfast it’s a lazy cruise north stopping for lunch in an uninhabited bay on the island of Arkhangelos where there is some excellent fishing around the rocks.

After lunch on board cruise into Partheni for an exploration of this tiny bay and then out and head south down the east coast to the overnight stop at Pandeli where the evening meal is ashore. (B/L on board)

Day 5
Taverna Paradiso
An early start today as we head off to have breakfast and a refreshing swim in the delightful inlet of Xerakambos on the southern tip of Leros.

Lunch is served on board and then we depart south east down to the startling anchorage of Palainisou.

Today we have the gem of the Greek taverna experience. After a short walk through old olive groves and the courtyard of a tiny church, you reach Paradise Taverna. Run by Nicos a retired sponge diver, teacher and musician, along with his family, it is basic but beautiful with incredible fresh seafood prepared on the spot and cooked in outside wood fired ovens or over a B.B.Q. (B/L on board)

Day 6
Kalymnos – the sponge island.

After more snorkeling and breakfast, it’s a short trip further down to Vathi, a most spectacular harbor entry. Cruising in through the narrow channel is akin to sailing up a Scandinavian fiord. Lunch can be enjoyed at either the very popular strong-willed owner of Poppies or with Rita, an ethnic Greek who returned from Australia 20 years ago to marry a local man and run taverna Galini.

In the afternoon, our gulet will enter Pothia, the commercial port of Kalymnos. Small cafes, a museum devoted to the history of sponge-diving and fishing boats line this beautiful harbor. Dinner will be on board, against the spectacular backdrop of Kalymnian architecture. (B/D on board)

Day 7
KOS – ISLAND OF HIPPOCRATES
Today, it is up anchor early and a cruise to Kos with lunch on board. The captain will finish the customs formalities during your visit to the Asclepion, the world’s first hospital founded by Hippocrates. In the evening, it’s dinner at di Costa. This little establishment has the best taziki and pork souvlaki in town, served by the friendliest smiling staff one could wish for.

Day 8
Time to say good-bye
After an early breakfast, it’s a 2 hour motor-sail back to Bodrum, and time to say good-bye to your crew as you continue on your travels.
