Traveling to Malawi – “the warm heart of Africa” – with Global Ambassadors for Children is humanitarian work at its best. We will dedicate our time to supporting children of all ages, including orphans and students, while also exploring the beautiful countryside and supporting the local economy. We will provide needed resources, including education materials and hygiene supplies to local schools and communities, as well as to our sustainable project at Mtendere Village. All of these projects are explained in further detail in the itinerary.

In a country with an average life expectancy of less than 45 years old, the people of Malawi deserve our attention and assistance. An estimated one million children in Malawi have been orphaned due to HIV/AIDS and Malaria. Millions more are not able to complete their schooling. Without education and access to medical care, the children of Malawi will be unable to escape the cycle of poverty.

Come experience the joy of spending time with these warm-hearted people. Experience the possibility. Experience the culture. Experience the change that is possible, both in your life and in theirs, when we all work together to make Malawi a more sustainable place for all its children.

Day 1

May 28th
Arrival at Kamuzu International Airport, Lilongwe. Pick up and transfer to Kumbali Country Lodge.
Overnight Kumbali Country Lodge.
Day 2

May 29th
Orientation and introduction to Malawian culture and Chichewa language lessons. Afternoon city tour, including Wildlife Centre and market.
Overnight Kumbali Cultural Village.
Day 3

May 30th
School and/or orphanage volunteering and construction activities.
Overnight Kumbali Cultural Village.
Day 4

May 31st

Opportunity to visit a crocodile farm and cichlid fish farm. Afternoon hike in the surrounding area. Cultural evening, drumming, dancing and singing

Early morning transfer to Liwonde National Park, arriving mid morning. Afternoon safari and game drive. Chance to spot elephant, hippo and more.

June 8
Transfer back to Lilongwe. Arriving at Kumbali Country Lodge in the afternoon. Time to pack and unwind.
