Bhutan is a trekker’s paradise! The scenic landscapes and pristine environment are best experienced through trekking. The trek paths are always lauded with splendid scenic beauty, lofty mountains and deep valleys untouched by modernization. Trekking in this Himalayan kingdom is a wonderful experience for anyone who enjoys hiking and camping in exotic natural habitats, meeting interesting indigenous people and learning their cultures. Only a handful of tourists trek each year and the trails are not crowded as they are in other countries. They are definitely not dotted with teashops and souvenir shops filled with tourists. You are on your own most of the time except for the few local travellers. Come enjoy our mountains and enrich your holidays!

I've completely enjoyed my time in Bhutan. The trip would not have been as complete without the help from our guides. It was great how everyone was able to change plans as needed and also make special events happen seamlessly. I would definitely recommend the company to any one traveling into Bhutan. As well if I return I will use the company again, Thank you.

Our three man trek was exceptionally well organised and customised to our needs and schedule so that we saw the greatest variety of landscapes in the most effective time. Wangda is a fantastic guide and organiser with a terrific team. We felt like part of the family. The Bhutanese food was exceptional in its taste, presentation and nutritional balance. Thanks guys for a challenging trek and a wonderful, memorable experience.

I have known Wangda (Lakhor Tours Director)for over 10 years and have seen him develop his busines based upon principles of quality and customer service. His tours recognise and cater to the individual. Wangda has an extensive knowledge of the geography, history and culture of the country and a friendly but not 'in your face' approach to supporting his guests. I unreservedly recommend Lakhor tours for the experience of as lifetime.
