Upon arrival in Entebbe, Uganda, a local representative will meet you. Proceed to the Lake Victoria Hotel for an early lunch. Then drive to Mbarara on sealed roads passing through papyrus swamps close to Lake Victoria and tracts of tropical rain forest and on to the rolling plains of Ankole Cattle country. Mbarara is a colorful and friendly market town.

Day 2 - BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST
Continue southwest into the area known as The Switzerland of East Africa, the road is sealed for half the drive, then is an all weather dirt road. The route passes through areas of breathtaking scenery, high hills and low valleys that are for the most part cultivated and to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest N.P. famous for Gorilla trekking and is now a World Heritage Site.
Gorilla Forest Camp (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
Day 3-4 - GORILLA TREK
After breakfast a short drive to park H.Q. where we meet the local guides and trackers who will give a talk about trekking Gorillas. The hike then proceeds to the area where the Gorillas were located the previous day, then the trackers start their work to locate the Gorillas once again. This whole process can take from 1 hour to 6 hours, then one hour viewing these magnificent creatures before returning to camp. This can be a long tiring day but well worth the effort. A second day of Gorilla trekking or forest walks in included to enjoy this Montane Rain forest, birding and possibly other primates not to mention the flora. We do not guarantee seeing Gorillas.
