Cead mile failte! Meet your Irish driver/guide in the arrivals hall and start your Irish journey. Stop for traditional tea & scones and an opportunity to stretch your legs a little after your international flight. Continue into the heart of Dublin where you will stay for the next two nights. Your hotel is centrally located close to shops, pubs and restaurants. You may wish to explore Dublin independently this afternoon and evening. Dinner is on your own. After breakfast, enjoy a sightseeing tour around Dublin City. See elegant Georgian squares and houses, colorful parks, and bustling shopping areas. Visit Trinity College, one of the oldest centers of learning, dating to the 16th century. The library is home to the world-renowned 9th century Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript with meticulous artwork around the borders. Dinner is on your own this evening. GAME DAY!! Attend the 86th playing of Notre Dame vs. Navy at Aviva Stadium in Dublin. Following the game meet with your driver/guide for your journey south to Cork City. The city has a great energy and with a burgeoning arts and music scene, it's now getting a cultural reputation to rival Ireland's capital. The River Lee flows around the center, an island packed with grand Georgian parades and modern masterpieces. Check into your city center hotel with time to freshen up before dinner. Sept 2
This morning drive out of Cork City to the coastal town of Cobh. Visit the Cobh Heritage Center, which traces the history of emigration from Ireland to the United States. Learn about travel conditions for the many Irish emigrants on early sailing ships bound for the US. Time to walk around Cobh and see where the ill-fated Titanic set sail for the last time. Next stop the Old Midleton Distillery for a tour of the historic plant which boasts the largest pot still in the world. Enjoy a sample of Irish whiskey before returning to Cork City where you can relax or explore independently. Overnight: Imperial Hotel, Cork (B, D)

Sept 3
After breakfast travel to the quaint town of Blarney. There will be time for shopping in the famous Blarney Woolen Mills and those industrious enough may to climb the 104 steps of Blarney Castle to kiss the Blarney Stone. Drive via Macroom to Killarney, famous for the beauty of its surroundings. In the afternoon drive to Ross Castle to take a boat ride on Lough Leane, the largest of Killarney's three lakes. Admire views of the lake with the mountains in the background. Return to Killarney with time to stroll around this lovely town on your own. Overnight: Killarney Royal, Killarney (B, D)

Sept 4
Today travel north to Galway City. On route stop at the magnificent Cliffs of Moher which rise from the Atlantic Ocean to a height of 700 feet and extend for a distance of 5 miles. Continue your journey through the Burren Region. With its innate sense of spiritual peace, the Burren has an extraordinary array of flora and wildlife, megalithic tombs and monuments older than Egypt's pyramids. Arrive in Galway City in the early evening. Check into your hotel overlooking Galway Bay. Overnight: Galway Bay, Galway (B, D)

Sept 5
This morning travel west into the wild and wonderful Connemara region. First stop, Kylemore Abbey, one of the most photographed locations in Ireland. Visit the exquisite chapel and take a stroll through the restored Victorian walled gardens. Continue through Connemara with its lakes, mountains and breathtaking coastal scenery. Stop at Connemara Marble in Moycullen. Unique to the region, Geologists estimate this natural green rock is about 500 million years old. Return to Galway city with some time to explore the city independently. Overnight: Galway Bay, Galway (B, D)

Depart Galway for Shannon Airport with some time for last minute duty-free shopping and airport check-in. (B)
