Day 1
Arrive in Medellin, Rio Negro International Airport.
Night in a hotel in Medellin.
Day 2
In the morning we will visit La Romera Natural Reserve where our goal is to see Yellow-headed Manakin, Red Bellied Grackle and other endemics. In the afternoon, we will see birds in the reserve then we will go to Jardin – Antioquia (The nearest city to the Yellow-ear Parrot Reserve). Lunch will be in Medellin and dinner in Jardin. (A five-hour journey)

Day 3
We will spend all day birding in the Yellow-ear Parrot Reserve in order to see these important birds: Purple-throated Woodstar, Yellow-eared Parrot (endemic), Black-billed Mountain-Toucan, Tanager Finch, Yellow-vented Woodpecker, Spillmann’s Tapaculo, Paramo Tapaculo, Ocellated Tapaculo, Rufous-crowned Tody-Flycatcher, Green-and-black Fruiteater, Barred Fruiteater, Black-collared Jay, Orange-billed Nightingale-Thrush, Buff-breasted Mountain-Tanager, Golden-collared Honeycreeper, Guira Tanager, Blue-naped Chlorophonia, Chestnut-breasted Chlorophonia, Chestnut-crested Cotinga and many more.
Night in Jardin
Day 4
Birding in the Municipality of Jardin in the morning and departure to Manizales in the afternoon. We will see birds in the coffee fields. (A six-hour journey). In the afternoon we will enter at the Rio Blanco Reserve.

Day 5
We will spend all day birding in Rio Blanco Natural Reserve to see these important birds: Rusty-faced Parrot, Brown – brested Antpitta (endemic), Chestnut-crowned Antpitta, Masked Saltator (endemic), Ocellated Tapaculo, Green-and-black Fruiteater, Barred Fruiteater, Black-collared Jay, Blue-naped Chlorophonia, Chestnut-breasted Chlorophonia, Chestnut-crested Cotinga, Buff-breasted Mountain-Tanager, Golden-plumed Parakeet, and many more. We will see birds in the incredible Feeders of Hummingbirds and Antpitta.
Night in Manizales.
Day 6
Birding in the Natural National Park Los Nevados in the morning and departure in the afternoon to Fauna & Flora Sanctuary Otun – Quimbaya. (A five-hour journey) Some important birds we will see here are: Andean Duck, Paramo Tapaculo, Black-chested Buzzard-Eagle, Noble Snipe, Rufous-fronted Parakeet (endemic), Andean Pygmy Owl, Andean Emerald, Blossomcrown, Fawn-breasted Brilliant, Speckled Hummingbird, Sword-bellied Hummingbird, Shining Sunbean, Golden-breasted Puffleg, Rainbow-bearded Thronbill, Viridian Metaltail, Bearded Helmetcrest, Gorgeted Woodstar, Many-striped Canastero, White-chinned Thistletail, Andean Tit-Spinetail, White-crowned Tapaculo, White- capped Tanager, and many more.
Night in SFF Otun – Quimbaya
Day 7
All day birding in SFF Otun – Quimbaya, for seeing the next important birds: Crested-ant Tanager (endemic), Cauca Guan (endemic), Golden-plumed Parakeet, Grayish Piculet (endemic), Red-ruffed Fruitcrow, Chestnut-breasted Wren, Undulated Antpitta, Hooded Antpitta (endemic), Multicolored Tanager (endemic), Wattled Guan, Chestnut Wood-Quail (endemic) and more than 200 species by the excellent solitary road.
Night in SFF Otun – Quimbaya.
Day 8
Early in the afternoon we will depart to Pueblo Rico municipality and the Cerro Montezuma Natural Reserve. (Four hours traveling from Otun).

Day 9 & 10
We will see birds in different routes between 1500 and 2200 meters above sea level. We will be able to see many species; some endemic and other specific Chocó species. Day 11
In the morning we will transfer to Ibague city (Six hours of travel), this day we will do some stops on the road searching for birds and taking pictures of the incredible landscapes of the Central Andes – weather permitting.

Birding in El Nevado del Tolima, El Silencio and Juntas locations the whole day, seeing these important birds: Golden crowned Redstart, Spillmann’s Tapaculo, Ocellated Tapaculo, Black-collared Jay, Buff-breasted Mountain-Tanager, Masked Saltator (endemic), Golden-plumed Parakeet, Gray-breasted Mountain-Toucan,Tolima Dove (endemic), Yellow-headed Brush Finch (endemic), Yellow-headed Manakin (endemic),Blossomcrown (endemic), and many more. In the afternoon we will go to Bogotá city to rest and finish the tour.
