Day 1
Arrive Kathmandu
Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Later, proceed to the sprawling temple complex of Boudhnath. Gorkana Forest Resort – 1 night

Day 2
To Pokhara
Take flight over the beautiful Western ranges on your way to Pokhara. Upon arrival, visit the International Mountain museum and admire magnificent views of the Annapurna Range on a scenic boat trip. Enjoy dinner at a lakeside restaurant. Shangrila Village Resort – 1 night (B, D)

Day 3
To Mountain Lodge
After a short drive, walk along the plateau to your lovely lodge. Visit a small village to learn a bit about life in the Himalayas and sit down for tea and conversation with the Mayor. Gurung Lodge – 1 night (B, L, D)

Day 4
To Kathmandu
Return to Pokhara for a short flight to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, drive to the medieval town of Bhaktapur to learn about Buddhist and Hindu architecture. Gorkana Forest Resort – 1 night (B, L)

Day 5
To Lhasa
Fly over the Himalayas to the mountain kingdom of Tibet. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel in Lhasa. Four Points Sheraton – 3 nights (B)

Day 6
Lhasa
This morning, drive north of the City to visit sprawling Sera Monastery. The Jokhang Temple is one of the most revered temples in all of Tibetan Buddhism. This afternoon, stroll down Barkhore Street, lined with shops selling traditional Tibetan handicrafts and religious items. (B)

Day 7
Lhasa
Explore the famed Potala Palace, winter palace of the Dalai Lama and Drepung Monastery on the slope of Mt. Guopei. Admire the fabulous murals on the walls of the Dalai Lama’s Summer Palace. (B)

Day 8
To Gyantse
Embark on a full-day journey along the banks of the Brahmaputra River and the shores of lovely Lake Yamadrok. Cross Kampala Pass to Gyantse, an ancient city overlooked by a citadel perched upon a rocky craig. Hotel Gyantse – 1 night (B)

Day 9
To Shigatse
Continue your journey across the Tibetan plateau to mountainous Shigatse, home to the imposing Tashilhunpo Monastery, where you can immerse yourself in the religion that animates the Country. Hotel Mansarover – 1 night (B)

Day 10
To Shegar
Delve deeper into the countryside as you traverse striking pastoral landscapes before ascending to the heights of Gyamtso La Pass at nearly 17,000 feet en-route to the village of Shegar. Hotel Quomolangma or similar – 1 night (B)

Day 11
To Rongbuk
Surmount the 16,000-foot Pang La Pass as you marvel at views of snow-capped peaks and alpine valleys. Rongbuk Guest House – 1 night (B)

Day 12
To Everest Base Camp and Tingri
Explore world-famous Everest Base Camp, starting point for most of the expeditions that attempt to conquer the world’s highest mountain. Hotel Snow Leopard or Hahu Hotel – 1 night (B)

Day 13
To Kathmandu via Zhangmu
Savor some final views of the icy Himalayas as you descend from the Tibetan plateau, cross the Friendship Bridge and continue to Kathmandu. Gorkana Forest Resort – 2 nights (B, L)

Day 14
Kathmandu
See Mount Everest from the air on a spectacular fixed-wing sightseeing flight. Your guide will then escort you to Durbar Square, home of the Royal Palace as well as the Kumari Devi, a young girl worshipped as a living goddess. After lunch in the colourful area of Thamel, enjoy an afternoon at leisure. (B, L)

Depart Kathmandu
You wiill be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
