Charleston and Savannah are two cities full of southern charm and elegant beauty.

They both have graceful historic mansions, and a sense of refinement that evokes the Old South. There's a lot more here than meets the eye, though!

As you explore the area, you'll discover clues. From a large, slave-run plantation, to historic city mansions, to the fort where the Civil War began, you'll gain insight into what it means to be a Southerner -- then and now.

From oaks draped in Spanish moss, to Tybee Island beaches, to the wild places of the barrier islands, you'll see how nature shapes the region.

And of course, that also ties into something important -- food!  Savor authentic southern specialties and top lowcountry cuisine.

And your guide gives you a true insider perspective on these southern cities and the people who call them home. Hear tales of local characters from somebody who knows them all personally.
