Itinerary

Day 1 Tel Aviv

Arrival at any time, an airport transfer is included in your tour. Please look for a welcome notice in the reception area of our hotel, advising the time and location of this evening's welcome meeting, where you meet your tour leader and travelling companions. Afterward there will be the chance for the group to head out for an optional local dinner.
Day 2 Jaffa/Caesarea/Akko (B,L)

After breakfast, we enjoy a quick driving tour of Tel Aviv before continuing to historic Jaffa, where we visit the Old Markets, Simon's House and the Old Port of Jaffa.

We then continue to the North bordering the Mediterranean Sea,to the majestic Roman ruins of Caesarea. Caesarea was built as part of Herod the Great's ambitious plan to "Hellenise" the Holy Land in the 1st century BC. He chose the site of a small Phoenician port and laid out a classical Greek city. Herod also constructed an artificial harbour by making use of concrete piling under water - the first ever such use of concrete.

Our next stop is a unique visit to a Druze village, where we have the opportunity to have lunch with a local Family.

We then make our way to historic Akko where we visit the Old Markets, Aljazar Mosque then head to our hotel for evening.
Days 3-4 Nazareth/Golan Heights/Sea of Galilee/ (2B)

This morning we undertake visits to some of Nazereth's highlights
before continuing to Safed, a picturesque city of spiritualists and artists and steeped in atmosphere. Wander through its alleyways past charming stone houses with their artists’ studios and workshops. The ancient picturesque alleyways of the Jewish quarter contain hidden niches and beautiful synagogues.
Afterwards, we continue to drive deep into the Golan Heights to enjoy views over the Syrian border and learn more about this beautiful and historic region.

On Day 4 we enjoy a boat ride on the lake of Galilee before visiting some of the churches and other lakeside highlights.
Day 5 Masada/Dead Sea/Jerusalem (B)

After breakfast, we travel through the Jordan Valley Road,to Masada, a Unesco World Heritage site, and visit the famous rock fortress which was the last stronghold of the Jewish in their war against the Romans. The story of the site reveals the courage of the defenders of Massada and their battle against the conquering Romans. Visit Herod’s palace, the mikveh, storerooms, watchtowers, and the synagogue.
Our next stop is the Dead Sea. The Dead Sea is actually a lake, without any from of life whatsoever existing in its waters. The water is so dense that it is practically impossible to sink, being five to ten times as salty as regular sea water. While swimming, cover yourself with the sea's mud, which is reputed to have special healing powers, and don't forget to take a photo of yourself reading a book while floating! You will notice that the salt penetrates any cuts on your body and has an unusual smell, but there are showers to wash off under after swimming.
After drying off and changing, we make our way to Jerusalem where we spend this evening.

Day 6 Jerusalem/Bethlehem/refugee camp (B)

This morning we transfer to New Jerusalem (West Jerusalem), and visit Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Museum. Afterwards, we transfer to Bethlehem, birthplace of Jesus, where we visit the Nativity Church. In the afternoon we undertake a visit to the people of the Aida Palestinian Refugee camp where we can learn more about this unique issues surrounding this region.
This afternoon we transfer back to Jerusalem where the remainder of the day will be at your leisure.

Day 7 Jerusalem (B)

After breakfast, we enter to the Old City of Jerusalem where we will view the Temple Mount before walking the 14 Stations of the Via Dolorosa, ending at the Holy Sepulcher Church. Later, we will visit the 4 quarters of the Old City Christian, Jewish, Armenian and Muslim quarters.
The remainder of the day is free for your explorations.
This evening we will meet up for an optional final night dinner together to celebrate the end of a wonderful action packed journey.

Day 8 Jerusalem (B)

You are free to depart at anytime today. We are able to assist in post tour accommodation if you would like to extend your visit. Please ask at the time of booking.
