Itinerary
Day 1/2 - Livingstone - River club
At more than twice the size of Niagara Falls, it’s no surprise that Victoria Falls are among the Seven Wonders of the World. Mosi-oa-Tunya – The Smoke that Thunders – derived from the towering column of spray when the Zambezi River runs high, is the name that the local people have given to this awesome natural phenomenon.
Day 3/4 - Okavango Delta - Tubu Tree
Built on a private reserve bordering on the Moremi Game Reserve, Tubu Tree Camp offers both land and water activities, depending on the fluctuating levels of the Okavango's floodwater. This camp is built on the western side of a large island called Hunda that has diverse vegetation ranging from dry Kalahari sandveld, to mopane forest to riverine forest on the edge of permanent waterways.
Day 5/6 - Okavango - Duba Plain
You will fly over one of the world’s most distinctive regions, the Okavango Delta – the earth’s largest inland water system. Its headwaters start in Angola’s western highlands, with numerous tributaries joining to form the Cubango River, which then flows through Namibia (called the Kavango) and finally enters Botswana, where it is then called the Okavango.
Day 7/8 - Linyanti - Duba Tau
The Linyanti Reserve consists of 308,880 acres of diverse, prime wildlife countryside. Inland there are enormous acacia and mopane forests that sustain large numbers of elephants in the winter months. The Savuti area is famous for its lions documented in National Geographic films. One of the most exciting of these films is the Joubert’s Eternal Enemies depicting the conflicts between lions and hyenas. Elephants are one of the area's biggest attractions.
Day 9 En Routa to Europe / the US.
In the after-noon you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Maun.
A representative will meet you in Maun, and accompany you to the international airport for your connecting flight back to Europe / the US.
