“I went trekking with Lost Earth and we had a fantastic time. The expedition was very well organized and we got off the main trails to see some amazing sites. The guides were fun and looked after me brilliantly (this was not the sort of thing I usually do). I am looking forward to doing another trek now! Thank you for a great time, and putting up with me lol!”

Itinerary

Trip Summary

We begin our adventure in Kathmandu before heading into the secluded and incredibly beautiful Langtang Valley. We trek through small Tamang settlements, surrounded by thick pine, bamboo and rhododendron forest with an abundance of wildlife. As the valley opens up, we’re exposed to the site of majestic Himalayan peaks, many of which remain unnamed, tumbling glaciers, holy gompas and wild yak pastures. You will have the opportunity to hike to the foot of Langtang Lirung, trek to the summit of a 5000m peak and hike to the base of a glacier. This is a trekker’s paradise! After exploring the splendour of the Himalayas we descend back into the Kathmandu Valley. Here, you can visit the ancient city of Patan and fly amongst giants in a breathtaking flight to Everest, the highest peak in the world! Or, you can choose to go on an adrenaline pumping bungy jump. Imagine, standing on a bridge 160m above the Bhote Kosi, Nepal’s wildest river… now jump!

Alternative Route Option

On this trek there will always be two guides, giving us the opportunity to split the group. If we are making good time and trekking fast then we can go back to Kathmandu via Gosainkund Lakes and the Helambu region. This gives us breathtaking views of 8000m peaks and high altitude lakes. We also spend an extra day trekking and 1 less day in a vehicle. This route is a lot more remote and is well away from the main tourist trails.
