Itinerary

Day 1 (Thursday)
Upon arrival in Port Moresby from your international flight you will be met and transferred to your hotel (Dinner Included) for your overnight stay at the Airways Hotel.

Day 2 (Friday)
In the morning you will be transferred to your Air Niugini flight to Tari - home of the Huli, a colorful and proud people still largely living the same way that their ancestors did. You will then be taken on an afternoon Tour of the area before your overnight stay (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included) at the Ambua Lodge, which is situated high on the slopes of the Tari Valley, with magnificent views of the valley below and surrounding peaks.

Day 3 & 4 (Saturday & Sunday)
Enjoy two full days of cultural and ecological touring. The Tari area is home to an incredible 13 species of birds of paradise, as well as numerous orchid species. Learn how the Huli live and how they interact with and use their environment. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included.)

Day 5 (Monday)
In the morning you will be transferred to your Charter flight to Karawari. Enjoy an afternoon tour of the surrounding areas before your overnight stay at the Karawari Lodge. (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included.)

Day 6 (Tuesday)
After breakfast enjoy touring programs that provide insight into the amazing ecology and culture of the Karawari area. Travel along the jungle-fringed waterways where boatmen, standing upright, paddle their slender dugout canoes. See bountiful bird life along the rivers and nearby lakes. Excursions enhance your understanding of traditional village culture. This is the only place where the mystical ancestral Kamangabbi figure can be found. (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner included.)
Overnight at Karawari Lodge.

Day 7 (Wednesday)
This morning you will fly by charter aircraft to Mt. Hagen. Mount Hagen Town is in the upper Wahgi Valley - a valley with some of the oldest evidence of agriculture in the world. Perched high on Mount Kuta is Rondon Ridge, with unbelievable views of the Wahgi Valley. Overnight RONDON RIDGE (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included)

Day 8 (Thursday)
A full day exploring the Hagen Area and Wahgi Valley. The Mount Hagen area is the home of the Melpa people, a people with a strong culture, who still live largely traditional subsistence lifestyles. In the mountains surrounding the Wahgi Vally live a stunning array of bird, orchid and plant life. Overnight RONDON RIDGE (Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner included)

Day 9 (Friday)
This morning you depart for Port Moresby. Upon arrival in Port Moresby, you will be met and transferred to your ongoing international flight. (Breakfast included)
