To the east its dramatic natural beauty is enhanced by a tropical coastline of coral beaches extending along the Indian Ocean. To the west lie the gleaming shores of Lake Victoria. Africa’s largest lake. The Great Rift valley with its mile-high escarpments cleaves the land from the north to south, leaving in its wake a string of soda and freshwater lakes and picturesque volcanoes. From the sweep of the wide southern plains to the arid deserts of the north to the lush and fertile highlands, Kenya’s landscape is memorable in its diversity. With diversity in habitat comes a phenomenal diversity of wildlife.
