After breakfast, we will drive to the the isolated town of Chefchaouen, or the ‘blue city’, is arguably one of the prettiest places in Morocco. You'll have a free day to explore Chefchaouen. Perhaps take a guided tour of the sights, sounds, and smells of the medina, or sample the delicious local goat cheese at a cafe in the Plaza Uta el-Hammam. Admire the architecture of the 15th-century Grand Mosque (closed to non-Muslims) and browse the shops in the square selling woven goods and small sweets. Also within the plaza is the walled fortress of the Kasbah. Wander through the tranquil gardens inside, check out the ethnographic museum and soak in wonderful views from the rooftop. Alternatively, you might prefer to get out of town and enjoy a hike and picnic in the surrounding hills. In the evening, tuck into a tagine at a local restaurant or visit a hammam, a traditional Moroccan spa.
After the breakfast in your Hotel in Chefchaouen. We start our Fes desert tour to Volubilis & Mekness. On the way to Volubilis ( Roman ruins), you will have several stops for photos to enjoy the landscapes and a beautiful dam. You will have the chance to explore this archaeological site. After that you will continue the drive to Mekness where you will have time for lunch then discover the Medina(old city). You visit Bab Al Khamis( Thursday gate) and the amazing Bab EL Mansour. El Mellah(jewish quarter) street, Lahdim square, Moulay Ismail (founder of the city) tomb and Heri es Souani – Grainstore stables. After that we will drive you to Azrou via El Hajeb.
You will leave your gear at a simple auberge and then ride camels into the edge of the Sahara Desert, enjoying a spectacular sunset along the way. The dunes are stunning, especially as the evening light plays across them and sets off the colours. Tonight you will camp out in traditional style, with the chance to try some fantastic local cuisine while you sit around an open fire, enjoying lively music and dancing under the stars.
After the breakfast and take shower in Hotel, we go in a tour around the erg chebbi, we will visit the khamlia village and entertainment of their spiritual Gnawa music; originally from Ghana, and Sudan. We will visit some deserted mines, Berber nomads and oasis of palm trees. Towards lunchtime, we go back to Merzouga. After lunch, you will see the canal irrigation system and have a walk on the oasis located on the foot of the dunes. Continue to your hotel for relax. Arrive to the hotel and get ready for a camel trek for an hour and half to take us on an adventure in the sand dunes to enjoy the sunset. This is a great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise, when we arrive at the camp we go to a high dunes to see the sunset. We will spend the night in an equipped camp with drums music in the middle of the Sahara. Dinner and night in the nomad camp.
We will wake up early morning to watch the sunrise behind the golden dunes, and take some amazing pictures. We return for breakfast in open air, before heading to the Hotel by camels for Shower. After that, we will start our 6 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech passing through the famous town of Rissani before arriving to Dades Gorges in evening
Last day of our 6 days Fes desert tour to Marrakech, we will carry on to Valley of Roses, the only place in Morocco where we harvest Damascus rose of which we extract some products like rose water and rose oil best for skin treatment and anti-wrinkles. We drive through, Skoura, an old oasis of thousands palm groves and ancient Kasbahs berber forts. Then, we head to Ait Ben Haddou village we will go for a walk to visit this ancient village. An old village where a list of movie credits were made starting with the first movies “Lawrence of Arabia”, ”Jesus of Nazareth”, ”Gladiator” and the list is still going. It is also listed in UNISCO as a site of world heritage and national culture in 1987. We cross the High Atlas Mountains via Tizi-n-Tichka (2260 m). A spectacular windy road to Marrakech.
