Itinerary

Day 01: Bhubaneswar

On arrival at Bhubaneshwar airport assistance and transfer to hotel. 
Later city tour visiting famous temples Parasurameshwar, Mukteshwar, Rajarani & Lingaraj temple (non-Hindus are not allowed to enter inside the main temple sanctum). Also excursion to visit Khandgiri, Udayagiri Jain caves and Dhauli Rock Edicts. Evening enjoy Dhauli light & sound show at Dhauli (Closed on Monday). Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 02: Bhubaneswar - Bhitaraknika (160km/ 3 hr approx)

After early breakfast proceed to Bhitarkanika, the Wildlife Sanctuary, check in to the Forest Resort followed by Lunch. After lunch enjoy different creeks for spotting Basking Giant Salt Water Crocodiles, Nature trek inside the sanctuary area to see birds & en-dangerous animals. The park is home to the saltwater crocodile, Indian python, black ibis, wild boar, rhesus monkey, chital, darter, cobra, monitor lizard. Olive ridley turtles nest on Gahirmatha and other nearby beaches. Bhitarkanika has one of the largest populations of endangered saltwater crocodile in India and is globally unique in that, 10% of the adults exceed 6m length. Dinner & overnight at Forest Resort, Bhitaraknika.

 

Day 03: Bhitaraknika - Ratnagiri- Puri (240km/ 5hrs approx)

Breakfast at hotel followed by boat safari. Later drive to Puri via visiting Ratnagiri, Udaigiri & Lalitgiri Excavated Buddhist Sites. On arrival check in & overnight at hotel.

 

Day 04: Puri

Breakfast at hotel full day excursion to visit Konark Sun temple (UNESCO World Heritage Site) Pipili the applique work village & Raghurajpur artisan village. Further visit, Ramchandi temple & Chandrabhaga beach. Also visit world famous lord Jagannath temple (non-Hindus are not allowed to enter inside the main temple sanctum). Rest time to relax on the beach. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 05: Puri – Chilika Lake (55km/ 1hr approx)

Breakfast at hotel excursion to visit Chilika (Mangalajodi Birds paradise). Chilika Lake is a brackish water lagoon, at the mouth of the Daya River, flowing into the Bay of Bengal, covering an area of over 1,100km². Boating on the lake. Evening back to Puri. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 06: Puri – Bhubaneshwar (65km/ 1.3hr approx)
Breakfast at hotel drive to Bhubaneshwar airport and drop off to airport to board flight for onward destination.
