Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi

On arrival at Delhi airport meet with our office executive assistance and transfer to hotel (hotels check in time 1200hr afternoon, early check in subject to rooms availability). Rest time free for personal activities relax. Overnight at hotel. 

 

Day 02: Delhi

Breakfast at hotel. Full day city tour visiting landmark of Old Delhi which include Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni chowk & Khari Baoli Spice Market. Cycle Rickshaw ride in Chandni Chowk. Followed by sightseeing of New Delhi which includes Qutab Minar, Humayun Tomb, Lotus Temple & VVIP areas President House, Parliament & India Gate. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 03; Delhi - Amritsar (Train No.12029 SWARNA SHTBDI, 0720/ 1345hr)

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to airlway station to board satabdi train to Amritsar.

On arrival at Amritsar railway station assistance and transfer to hotel.
Later excursion to visit Bagha border to attend Beating Retreat Ceremony
Every evening, just before the sunset, the soldiers from the Indian and Pakistan military meet at this border post to engage in a 30-minute display of military camaraderie and showmanship. During the build-up to the ceremony, the crowd engages in chanting the Indian national anthem, rounds of applause and Bollywood-style dancing on Hindi songs. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 04; Amritsar - Dharamsala (210km/ 5hrs approx)

Breakfast at hotel visit Golden Temple famous for its full golden dome, it is one of the most sacred pilgrim spots for Sikhs. The central Sikh Museum is atop the Clock Tower. The ‘Guru Ka Langar’ offer free food to around 20,000 people every day. The number shoot up to 1,00,000 on special occasions. 
The Durgiana Temple - though a Hindu temple, its architecture is similar to the Golden Temple. Maharaja Ranjit Singh Museum famous for its rare and priceless collections, particularly Paintings, Weapons and Armours, Manuscripts & Coins. 

Gobindgarh Fort originally built by Gujjar Singh Bhangi, the local chieftain in the 18th century Gobindgarh was conquered and enhanced in the early 19th century by Maharaja Ranjit Singh who renamed it after the 10th Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh. The fort had five cannons which included the famous two ‘Zamzama' cannons.

Day 05; Dharamsala

Breakfast at hotel. Visit McLeodganj, which is home to most of the Tibetan exiles. At McLeodganj, the Tibetans have established many monasteries, schools and temples. The main Buddhist temple is a five-minute walk from the main bazaar, said to resemble the one in Lhasa, the temple is surrounded by red and gold prayer wheels that are set in motion by devotees to scatter prayers in the air.

Dal Lake: lake surrounded by Deodar trees, with temple of Durgeshwara Mahadev by the lakeside. 

Bhagsunath Temple old temple of Bhagsunath with a fresh waterspring. Further, about 0.5 km is beautiful Bhagsunath waterfall which is enough to sooth one’s eyes and mind.

Church of St. John in the Wilderness, built in 1860, worth a visit for its beautiful stained glass windows, the church was severely damaged in a major earthquake that rocked the region in 1905. Rebuilt subsequently, the church has old bells that had been cast in London and installed in 1915. Lord Elgin, one of the few Viceroys of India who died in office, lies buried here. Day 06; Dharamsala - Delhi (flight)/ Delhi – Jaipur (265kms/ 5hrs approx)

Breakfast at hotel transfer to Dharamsala airport to board flight for Delhi.

On arrival at Delhi airport meet with your driver and proceed to Jaipur. Check in and overnight at hotel.

 

Day 07; Jaipur

Breakfast at hotel. Visit the majestic Amer Fort and Jaigarh Fort. Enjoy Elephant ride at Amber Fort. 

Later city tour visiting City Palace, Observatory, Palace of Winds, Albert Hall Museum and Birla Temple. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 08; Jaipur – Agra (245kms/ 5hrs approx)

Breakfast at hotel drive to Agra enroute visit Abhaneri a small village popular for the amazing step wells and Temple. Also visit Fatehpur Sikri the 16th century ghost town and. 

Further drive to Agra check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 09; Agra – Orchha (220kms/ 5hrs approx)

Sunrise visit Taj Mahal. Breakfast at hotel visit Agra Fort and Itmad-ud-Daula Tomb.

Drive to Orchha enroute visit Gwalior Fort. Continue drive to Orchha check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 10; Orchha – Khajuraho (178kms/ 4hrs approx)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit wonderful Orchha Fort, Temples and graceful Chhatris. 

Afternoon drive to Khajuraho check in at hotel. Evening light & sound show. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 11; Khajuraho – Varanasi (Flight)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit eastern, western & southern group of temples. The temple of Khajuraho are India’s unique gift to the world, representing, as they do, a paean to life, to love, to joy, perfect in execution and sublime in expression on account of their remarkable erotic sculptures.

Later transfer to airport to board flight for Varanasi. 

Arrive Varanasi assistance and transfer to hotel. 

Evening Ghats’s & temples visit, attend Holy Ganga Aarti. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 12; Varanasi 

Early morning boat ride and Ghat visit along the Ganges and catch the scene of devotees bathing and praying in the sacred water. 

Breakfast at hotel. 

City tour of Varanasi visit World famous Benaras Hindu Universit, The Ramnagar Fort Palace & Many Temples.

Afternoon excursion to Sarnath one of the three holiest sites for Buddhists where the Buddha delivered his first sermon in 528 BC. There are many temples here, representing the many cultures where Buddhism is the dominant religious philosophy. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 13; Varanasi - Bodhgaya (250kms/ 5hrs approx)

Breakfast at hotel drive to Bodhgaya check in at hotel. Later visit Mahabodhi Temple an UNESCO World Heritage Site, encompassed by an ancient railing dating back to 100BC. Bodhi Tree: where Buddha is said to have attained enlightenment. Also visit Tibetan Monastery, Burmese Temple, Chinese Temple and Monastery, Buddhist Monastery of Bhutan, Thai Temple and Monastery, and many more. Rest time to relax, evening attend temple aarti. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 14; Bodhgaya - Rajgir - Nalanda - Patna (170kms/ 3hrs approx)/ Patna - Delhi (flight)

Breakfast at hotel full day excursion to visit Nalanda a hot seat of knowledge and learning established in the 5th century. Also visit Vishwa Shanti Stupa built of marble on a 400m high hill at Rajgir.

Continue drive to Patna airport to board flight for Delhi. On arrival assistance and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 15; Delhi - Departure (flight)

Breakfast at hotel as per flight schedule transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
