Itinerary
Saturday Halifax
You will arrive at Halifax International Airport and transfer to our luxe boutique hotel in the center of the bustling, seaport city of Halifax, Nova Scotia. This afternoon we will enjoy a harbor tour departing from the wharfs on the colorful Halifax waterfront. We will get acquainted with the history and landmarks of Halifax as we discover the flavors of this seafaring city. We will gather together this evening for a welcome dinner at one of the fine local chef owned restaurants. D
Sunday Maritime Heritage
This morning we begin with a tour of the city of Halifax, visiting Citadel Hill, Pier 21 “Gateway to Canada”, and the Maritime Museum where the Titanic exhibit is located. Art Gallery Nova Scotia is a worthwhile visit this afternoon as you explore the colorful arts scene in Halifax. This evening is open for your own discoveries of the city - perhaps a a stroll along the waterfront, or hearing some live Celtic music in the pubs. B/L
Monday Evangeline Trail
Put on your walking shoes this morning and you will take a drive to join the Evangeline Trail, visiting historical Grand Pre and walking the trails in scenic Blomidon Provincial Park, which overlooks the Bay of Fundy, known for the highest tides in the world. Beachcomb for amethyst or just inhale the salty air and savour the sea breezes here. After our walk we will visit the Grand Pre Winery to sample the distinct award winning wines produced in this bucolic valley by the sea. B/L
Tuesday Peggys Cove
This morning we depart Halifax early bound for well known Peggys Cove a photographers delight. We then will continue the coastal route south to Lunenburg where we settle for the rest of our trip.We will locate in the historic heart of this UNESCO world heritage town for walking amdist the history that is Lunenburg. Before our arrival in Lunenburg, we will visit the Settler’s Museum in the seaside village of Mahone Bay and also the working studios of the Amos Family, where pewter continues to be handcrafted by local artisans on site. If you want to try your chance at kayaking, the waters of Mahone Bay are pure delight on a summer day. B/L
Wednesday Lunenburg Old Town
Today, you will experience Lunenburg with a guided tour of Lunenburg’s historical, “Old Town”, planned in 1754 and well preserved today, followed by our private tour of the recently restored landmark, St. Johns Anglican Church, situated in the distinctive Old Town. This afternoon, you can opt for a whale watch, gallery hopping, puffin boat tour, as we relish the comings and goings of the vibrant Lunenburg waterfront. A treat from some local fiddlers or perhaps a bagpiper may enrich our dinner experience in the town this evening. B/D
Thursday Walking by the sea
This morning you may wish to browse the shops and galleries of the village, visit the waterfront Fisheries Museum or the historical Knaut -Rhuland House. After lunch we will walk the pristine seashore trails south of Lunenburg. We will celebrate our refreshing week by the sea with our farewell dinner this evening at one of the local favorites. B/D

Brimming with salty memories of this colorful, Maritime region you will leave the charms and beauty of Nova Scotia this morning to depart for the Halifax International Airport and your flights homeward. B
