Few places in the world have just the right combination of elements to create a truly spectacular wildlife viewing experience, and MTS has crafted this active trip to take advantage of Alaska’s richest spots. Sea kayak at Point Adolphus, where humpback whales stay throughout the summer to feed on enormous schools of herring. The sound of the whales breathing echoes in the silence of the surrounding mountains. View the rare spectacle of black and brown bears feeding together at Anan Bear Observatory, Southeast Alaska’s best bear viewing! To save time we use small charter planes to link our destinations easily and quickly. Plus, flying over the islands and inlets gives an added sense of dimension to the trip, linking our minds with our maps. You’ll enjoy comfortable lodgings, while getting lots of action during the day—kayaking with the whales, walking in the wildflower carpeted mountains above Juneau, and exploring the fjords of Glacier Bay.
