Now operating from its own private island, Slickrock started leading kayaking trips 32 years ago around Moab, Utah. In 1986, they expanded their operation to Belize, which was fairly undeveloped at the time. Today, tourism is booming elsewhere, but Glover's Reef Atoll, a Slickrock favorite, remains pristine. The company has since gotten into every watersport imaginable: surfing, windsurfing, kayak surfing, whitewater kayaking, snorkeling, and stand-up paddling, to name a few. The majority of trips include a stay at Glover's, where every thatched-roof cabana boasts ocean views, and the option of reclining in a hammock with a fish taco after a long day plying the turquoise-blue Caribbean water.
