Itinerary
DAY 1: PAGE, ARIZONA
Your adventure begins outside of Lee’s Ferry
with a detailed briefi ng to familiarise the
team with equipment and skills. Today you
navigate through Upper Waterhole Canyon
with a variety of rappels and hiking sections
through a narrow maze of sandstone. Your
local expert has an impeccable background
in canyoneering, serving as an Emergency
Medical Technician and Instructor for
Sedona’s Fire Department High Angle
Rescue Team, and has been a member of
the Rescue Rigging and Helicopter Rescue
Teams for many years. Tonight is spent at
an ultra-luxe resort.
DAY 2: NINE MILE CANYON
The second day begins with over a thousand
feet of rappelling into the awe-inspiring Nine
Mile Canyon Gorge. Dropping by a series of two
and three hundred foot rappels, you work your
way to the canyon fl oor. After pausing to take in
your magnifi cent surrounds, pack your infl atable
kayaks and paddle down the Colorado River,
viewing petroglyphs and ancient Indian artwork
along the way. At your private riverside camp
you enjoy a hearty dinner amidst this spectacular
scenery.
DAY 3: COLORADO RIVER / PAGE
On your fi nal day, paddle the last 13 km (8 miles)
to Lee’s Ferry, enjoying the unique beauty of the
exceptional rock formations illuminated by the
penetrating sunlight.
