Two weeks of your volunteer adventure are spent exploring the wonders of Bolivia.  Hike down the famous El Choro trail, visit an animal refuge center, make friends with locals in the Amazon and visit the surreal landscape of the Salt Flats!  After you can choose a volunteer project of your choice. This is a great opportunity to improve your Spanish skills and delve into the local experience of a Bolivian community.  Volunteer in the Amazon in an indigenous community, work with a local orphanage or help out in a school.

Be immersed in Andean culture and really make a difference in the lives of local children.  You will have the opportunity to work with children aged 1-18.  The school hosts some children who live at the orphanage and others from underpriveledged families who come for the day improve their life skills.  There are various programs offered for the children to increase their learning and skills and improve their chances to entering a well paying job. Different programs include instrument construction, reading and playing music, weaving natural textiles, baking bread for daily consumption, auto repair, social studies, environmental studies, and cooking.  These activities also contribute to the sustainability of the orphanage.  Volunteer activities will include teaching a variety of topics, helping children with homework and creating a fun camp for the kids! There is also an opportunity to visit nearby villages, participate in and/or watch a Bolivian festival, take cooking classes, visit Bolivian markets and participate in a cultural exchange group.
