Safari Legacy, formerly Tanzania Photographic Safaris, specializes in natural history safaris in Tanzania, Kenya and Rwanda with a focus on conservation and education. With fifty years of experience (since 1967), and one of the oldest safari outfitters on the ground in Tanzania, our sole purpose is to provide a hands on experience for the curious traveler while sharing our knowledge and appreciation for nature so that our Earth’s great natural wonders are preserved for the benefit of future generations.  Our passion is to share our enthusiasm through education and exploration of these fragile and ever changing places.

With Safari Legacy as your partner in travel you will EXPERIENCE:

š  Expert Naturalist Safari Guides. All Safari Legacy Guides are selected carefully and are on staff with us full time. Most have been with our company for over 10 years and have become family. Our naturalist safari guides are very knowledgeable about wildlife, birdlife, habitat, culture, geography, photography, conservation issues, politics and current events in Tanzania, Kenya and Rwanda. .

š  No Middleman. Safari Legacy is family owned and operated. In addition to headquarters in Tanzania, we also have offices in Kenya and Rwanda as well as in the USA - Helena, Alabama, so our partners can be in touch 24/7.

š  Accommodation. Safari Legacy owns and operates its own safari camp located outside of Tarangire National Park - Kikoti Safari Camp.  We like to call it an “Elegant Bush Camp”. This location is on a concession of land which also allows us the flexibility to offer night game drives and walking safaris. In 2015, Kikoti Safari Camp officially became a not for profit camp with all proceeds going to our non-profit and commitment – The African Wildlife Trust & Ivory Orphans.  With excellent relationships with all hotels and lodges throughout Tanzania, Kenya and Rwanda, we ensure the most competitive safari rates.

š  Experience. Safari Legacy, formerly Tanzania Photographic Safaris, is family owned and operated and has been in business and operating safaris in East Africa since 1967.  Founded by Chiman Patel, he and his son, Pratik Patel operate the business from the Arusha Headquarters. (Safari Legacy re-branded in 1997 when Pratik Patel joined the company as CEO)  Safari Legacy was the first safari operator to pioneer safaris in Tarangire National Park and owned Tarangire Safari Lodge.

š  Personalized Service and Knowledgeable Staff.  At Safari Legacy it is our passion and commitment to share our enthusiasm and knowledge about the people, wildlife and conservation issues of East Africa.  Our first priority is you the partner and traveler.

š  Small Groups and Custom Toyota 4x4 Land Cruisers and Minivans. Safari Legacy owns and operates a fleet of our own safaris vehicles. With ownership of these vehicles we have total control over the maintenance and upkeep of our vehicles. Our vehicles are designed to maximize comfort and wildlife viewing with private roof hatch and window seat for traveler.

š  Unique, well designed itineraries. Safari Legacy will take you to the places where wildlife is most abundant, from dawn to dusk.  It is not uncommon for us to observe a spectacular wildlife sighting for hours before we move on. Our priority is to craft the perfect safari experience for each traveler based on interest and focus.

š  Excellent Accommodations. We seek out the best available accommodations in each location in order to maximize wildlife viewing.  Safari Legacy has excellent relationships with hotels, lodges, and tented camps as well as other and ground operators within Tanzania, Kenya, & Rwanda to ensure only the best rates possible.

š  Our Commitment. Conservation - Safari Legacy founded the African Wildlife Trust and Tanzania’s 1st elephant orphanage which is a conservation project in progress located in Arusha, on the TGT Grounds - Ivory Orphans.  www.africanwildlifetrust.org / www.ivoryorphans.org
